Week 59 – Maria’s baptism

This week, I completed 1 year in Argentina! I love this country so much, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve here.

It’s been a great week here in Belgrano. Maria Paz was finally baptized!! It was such a special day. So many hours of fasting, praying, and trying to find ways to get baptized were all worth it on Saturday. It was so special. Her daughter, Abril, was baptized as well. As Maria Paz came out of the font, she was crying the happiest tears. She’d been looking forward to and praying for and hoping for that moment for so long, and it was so special. On Sunday, they were both confirmed, and it was also the Primary Program, where Abril and Manuel sang and spoke. At the end, they called the moms up to sing with their kids, and it was so special seeing them with the joy of the gospel in their lives. I’ve learned so much from Maria Paz, and I’m so happy for her and her family. Now, we have to help her 14 year old daughter, Camila, get a testimony so she can be baptized as well.

Also, this was our last week with Elder Romo. It’s been so fun with him, I love that kid so much. He’s going to be ‘officially’ trained by Elder Smith, so he’ll be in my district! More than that, not too much else has happened!

Today, we had all of the transfers. I’m staying here in Belgrano with Elder Marin, which was obvious haha. I’m super excited and ready for a crazyyy week ahead of us. We have transfers, send the missionries who are finishing home, welcome the new missionaries, and three Zone Conferences. Pray for us haha.

I love you guys and I’m super grateful for every one of you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Thanks for everything!
