What an amazing week. There have been lots of cool things that have happened, but nothing comes close to our experiences with Priscila, so I’m going to write about that.
We have seen so much progress in Priscila this week. Seeing her be blessed by the Gospel has been so amazing and brought so much happiness to my life. This week, she went ministering to a widow in our ward, and she took someone else we are teaching with her, before being a member of the Church. She always buys us treats and makes us food haha, and has learned so much about the Church. She marks her scriptures a ton and has already read so so much. She sent us a text late one night, talking about an experience she had. She said that she was reading the scriptures, and her eyes were super heavy and that she was way tired. She prayed and asked that God could take away her tiredness so that she could keep studying and in her words, she said: “AND HE DID IT!”. She’s so excited to keep learning, and she is learning so much so quickly.
We had an activity of a Mini-MTC on Saturday, and Priscila came. All of the youth had their little plaques/nametags, and everyone thought that Priscila was a normal sister missionary, before being a member haha. She loved it and told us that she would love to serve a mission.
Later on Saturday, we had Priscila’s baptism. It was such an incredible experience that was so full of the Spirit. I was able to perform the ordinance, and it was such a huge blessing and so special to help her enter into that covenant with Heavenly Father. She bore her testimony afterward, and it was so special. The Spirit was so strong, and it was also so strong as she was confirmed on Sunday. It’s been so amazing to see the light and happiness of the Gospel in her life. Being able to have been an instrument in the Lord’s hands to help her live the Gospel has been such a huge blessing and has brought me so much joy.
I’m so excited for Priscila and for her future in the church. She has so much potential, and she is very “chosen” by the Lord. It’s been such a huge blessing to have been part of her conversion, and it has brought so much joy into my life. The Gospel really can change our lives, and there is nowhere else where we can find more peace or joy. I love the Gospel, and I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love being one of His representatives and sharing the message of his Gospel with the people of Argentina.
Thank you all for everything! I love the mission and I’m happy. Thank you for your prayers and for all that you guys do for me. I love you all, and I’d love to help you any way I can.
JARED SIDE NOTE: Priscilla connected with us on FB last week. We are so grateful for technology that allows us to develop relationships with the people Tate is teaching. She was so excited about her baptism and thankful for the missionaries.
