It’s been an awesome week in Pergamino! I love my area and am learning a lot with Elder Nixon. We are working well together and are good friends so that’s a big blessing.
On Tuesday, I had interviews with President Allred! I love that guy so much haha. He’s taught me so much in this time we’ve spent together, and I’ve learned so much from him and his example. He’s one of the most loving people I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful for him and that I have such an awesome Mission President.
There was a ton of rain on Thursday. We walked outside and were soaked within 15 seconds. The streets were flooded and the drains were like waterfalls haha it was crazy. But we had people give us torta frita and had some good success.
On Saturday, we had an awesome day. We found a family of 4 who we taught and we are super excited to keep teaching. The Spirit was way strong in our lesson with them. We had another lesson with this couple we’ve been teaching where we taught the Restoration. Jonatan promised that he was going to read the whole Book of Mormon to know if it’s true. We are super excited for them sas well. We also had a service project in the morning, with Pablo and Soledad, who we are helping build their house. Their situation is very humbling and makes me count my blessings.
We’ve been teaching this lady named Celeste for the last couple weeks, and she started telling her friends about it. We went by her house and she told us about all of these different people who wanted to meet with us and interpret their dreams and experiences hahaha so that should be interesting.
We had Stake Conference on Sunday, where Elder Batalla from the Seventy came and spoke which was awesome. He spoke about the importance of enduring to the end, and said that “if we don’t endure to the end, then all of the effort we put in at the start doesn’t matter”. It really is so important to keep learning and keep trying to strengthen our testimonies.
Also on Sunday, we had a lesson with this less active member and his daughter, Emma, who is 9 and wants to get baptized! She’s super cute and super excited to get baptized so that’ll be awesome to see in June.
I love you all! Thank you so much for all that you guys do for me. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do for you guys this week!
