Pergamino! I love it so far! On Monday, I said goodbye to my Zone in Venado and then got on a bus to Pergamino, where I met my companion, Elder Nixon! He has 2 transfers left in the mission, so I´ll most likely end up finishing these 2 transfers here with him. I´m loving Pergamino! It´s a city very similar to Venado Tuerto, but the people are a bit more receptive which is nice.
We´ve been having lots of success this first week which has been awesome! It´s been a lot of work but we´ve found and taught some good people. On Thursday, we had a service project with Familia Canaviri from Bolivia, and that was fun. We moved a bunch of bricks and rocks and sand. We are in the same ward as Elder Johnson from Washington and Elder Robinson from St. George and it´s been super fun to be with them. I´m loving Pergamino!
Our apartment is basically a garage haha. It is like a giant ice box and gets freezing at night. I have like 4 blankets but it still gets so cold. But everything works and it´s in a good place so that´s good.
On Saturday, we had another service project with Familia Maniri, another Bolivian family. We helped them dig out space for a garden in their backyard.
On Sunday, we had an asado to celebrate Easter. We cooked it in our back patio and it was super good haha. We didn´t have wood, so we had to break a chair we had in our apartment. But it was super fun to celebrate Easter with the other Elders and eat asado.
It´s been a great first week here. I´m learning tons and we are working hard. There´s a lot of work to be done here and so we are super excited to figure everything out and start helping these people. This week, we got to talk to lots of people about Easter and Jesus Christ. He loves us so much and really did suffer for all of us. He wants us to come unto Him and enter into His rest. I´m so grateful for my Savior and the opportunity I have to share His gospel every single day.
I love you all! Thank you for everything you guys do for me. Please let me know if there´s any way I can help any of you and I would love to do all I can.
