It’s been a great week! A hard one but a good one. We had a service project with Familia Allasia, helping them move this giant fridge into their new store that they’re opening up. We had to lift it onto this sketchy trailer and stand on the trailer with the fridge through Venado with all of the traffic and speed bumps and everything haha it was crazy. After that, we were eating lunch with them and we were eating bananas, and one of their sons opened up his banana and there was 2 in the same peel, and his face just lit up and he got so happy haha.
I had splits with Elder Packer and that was a long day haha. We walked so much and there was so much humidity. Everything I had in my pockets got soaked from sweat haha it was crazy.
We’ve had some awesome lessons this week and some good progress. There was a lot of let downs with investigators, but this weekend has been awesome and we’ve been having lots of success. We had interviews with Presidente Allred this week and that’s always such an awesome opportunity. He’s super inspiring haha, I always leave those interviews super excited to work.
One cool little tender mercy that happened this week was just with a new person who we are just starting to teach. Her name is Antonela, and she just moved into our branch this week. We found her through a reference from a member, and she lives with her 3 kids and boyfriend. She moved right in front of the church, and we knocked on her door and introduced ourselves to her and she asked if we wanted to come in, and we shared a little message with her and the Spirit was super strong. She started crying saying that she needed to have God in her life again, and she’s just super prepared from what we’ve seen to listen to us. We are hoping she can keep progressing and that we can help her and her family! But as missionaries, we are always looking for “personas escojidas”, or chosen people. We’ve found several recently through all types of miracles. It’s an amazing opportunity to be a missionary.
It’s been a pretty rough transfer in terms of success, but we’re working hard with faith and know that there are people for us to find. This will be the last week of this transfer, so maybe next week I’ll be in a different place or with a different companion. I’m so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be a missionary and help bring souls unto Christ. This truly is the Church of Jesus Christ, and I’m so grateful to have it in my life. Thank you all for everything, I love you guys!
