It’s been another good week! Elder Bryan is a good kid and it’s been fun working with and teaching him. We were cooking one day and Elder Christiansen lit four fires while cooking. That was pretty interesting hahaha. All of the smoke alarms in our apartment were going off forever, that was a struggle. Also this week, Elder Kuttler knocked 16 eggs off the counter so that was pretty funny.
On PDay, we went up to a hike we went to a few weeks ago as a zone. Elder Kuttler caught a huge frog. I’m grateful that Elder/Sister activities were not a thing in Argentina and not a common thing here. There’s just too much awkward flirting going on trying to control as a ZL hahaha. We went to Second Harvest where I ran up and down this assembly line for an hour straight.
This week, we were able to take several copies of the Book of Mormon to people that we have found! We’ve been blessed with lots of teaching opportunities, so. We are excited and grateful for that.We had a few dinners in person this week which was so nice. We ate this carne asada with the Esquivel family and it was SO good, some of the best food I’ve had on my mission. It’s fun getting to know the members in person. Everyone always says that I’m so much taller and skinner than I thought, guess I have a short, fat face.
I got robbed this week! Kinda haha, I lost my wallet somewhere in our apartment (still don’t know where or how), but I got a call from our mission office saying that our apartment manager had my wallet. We went and grabbed it, and everything was still there, except for $40ish dollars in cash haha. A bummer, but I’m just happy I was able to get the wallet back.
President and Sister Hunt had a huge goodbye Zoom call this week. It was crazy. There were hundreds of missionaries, RMs, and families that were there supporting them. In this short time that I’ve had with them, I’ve come to love them so much. They’re really incredible people and have taught me tons.
We are still pretty cooped up in our apartment. There’s still no signs as to going back to church or being able to go back outside, but we are able to get out enough and we have a fun apartment so that helps. We are busy!
I’m happy and loving the mission. Time is going by really fast. It’s weird being one of the people in the mission with more time, my mission is flying by. I love it and I’m so grateful for this opportunity.
