Week 53 – Hump Day!

On Wednesday, I had splits with my old companion, Elder Maco! That was super fun to be with him. It was also the day I completed 1 year in the mission, but time here is all a blur haha. We burned a shirt and ate pizza so that was fun. It’s crazy that it’s been a year. I feel like I’m still in my training haha. I’m loving this mission, and excited to work harder and learn more in this next year than I did this year.

On Friday, we had our Leadership Conference and it was amazing. We watched the new Light the World video, about Christ’s birth, and it is so powerful. It comes out November 24th for you guys and it’s absolutely incredible. I felt the Spirit so strong and felt so much love for my Savior. I love this work so much and I’m so grateful that I get to be one of Christ’s representatives.

We were teaching this woman named Ayelen, and her two daughters, Narella and Keyla, and they were progressing so much and were so excited. We went by on Sunday night to see how they were doing, and they had read what we’d left them in the Book of Mormon, and prayed together to know if it was true, and Ayelen told us she felt a peace that she’d never felt before. We set another day to go by and left. Then, like 20 minutes later, we got a text from her, saying, “I’m so sorry, but I can’t listen to you guys anymore. My husband doesn’t accept you in his house and we have already fought too much. Thank you for everything.” We went back to see what was happening and Ayelen came out of her house crying. We asked if her husband was there, but he wouldn’t even come out to talk to us. It was so sad, and we invited her to keep praying and reading, and that God would give her the chance to keep listening in the next month if she prayed every night. We were super bummed out after that. Pray for her and her family please!

Maria Paz finished the Book of Mormon this week! Like 3 weeks ago, she was in Alma, so that’s pretty crazy haha. She’s awesome and so excited, and is setting goals with her boyfriend to be able to get married in December!

Gimena is doing great. She will come and teach lessons with us and is still super excited for her baptism, even though her mom still won’t sign her baptismal registry.

It’s been a great week here in Belgrano, Rosario! I’m loving it and having so much fun. My companion and I are doing great, he’s such a goof haha. This week is the last week of transfers, so we will be helping President organize all of that, so that’ll be different.

I love you all! Thank you for everything! If there´s anything I can do for you, let me know!
