Another good week of quarantine! We are slowly starting to see progress to be able to go outside. I personally don’t think I’ll ever knock a door again as a missionary, but we will see what happens. We should be able to start visiting members soon and having outdoor lessons, as well as outdoor district councils. Should be good.
This week, I had the opportunity to talk to someone I was teaching in Argentina, Gimena! We set up a call with her and she was super excited to hear from me and meet my companion, so that was a cool experience. It made me want to go back there so bad haha.
We continue finding lots of people all around the world! I had another Facebook post that got a couple hundred responses, so we’ve been going through and chatting with a lot of those people. The Book of Mormon is amazing, we are so blessed to have it.
Here locally, we are teaching two amazing families. One, the Montaña family from Colombia, are doing amazing. Their kids (both 19) got baptized a few weeks ago and their parents are gonna get baptized soon! We taught them this week about “Come, Follow Me” and they were so excited to start studying it. It’s so cool to see things that we take for granted as such a huge blessing in others lives.
We are having tons of fun together in our apartment. It’s pretty sad that this’ll be our last full week all together in this apartment, as we’ve been told we will be orienting new reassigned missionaries coming in on next Wednesday.
We had a super cool experience this week to have a Zoom Conference with Elder Whiting of the Seventy. He talked about how we have no better time to develop Christlike attributes than here on the mission. So, we’ve all been very focused on becoming more like Christ this week which has been good.
I love this gospel. I’m so grateful to be a missionary during this crazy time. I personally thought that coming back out at this time would be a waiting experience for a little bit before the work continued, but I’ve seen that the Lord’s work is not just only continuing, but advancing. I love my Savior and I’m so grateful for Him. I’m so grateful for this time and so grateful for this opportunity. I want to be just like Christ.
I love you all! If there’s anything I can do for you guys, just let me know! Thank you so much for everything.
